Brizendine Brothers Nature Park

Location: Along Pritchett Drive across from the Muhlenberg County South Middle School in Greenville, KY.

Brizendine Brothers Nature Park is located just south of Morgan Memorial Park.  The trailhead and parking lot is located at the intersection of Pritchett Drive and Chatham Lane.  The park showcases a pristine 12-acre woodland with a chain-saw sculptured 7’ “Yogi” bear, greeting all visitors to the park before they begin this ½ mile journey through the woodlands.

Along the trail there are three beautiful footbridges, totaling 217 linear feet and an open meadow in the middle of the park… adding a second eco-system within the park.  Dispersed throughout the park are three picnic tables, Red Cedar split-log resting benches and numerous vegetative signs, identifying native trees.  The park is home to deer, wild turkey, raccoons, squirrels, butterflies and numerous native birds.  Most recently a small “wildlife pond” was constructed at the far end of the park and a 150’ running stream and 4’ waterfall installed close to the main entrance.
