Paradise Park

Powderly, KY

Paradise Park is a unique and wonderful park located just off the bypass and next to the Merle Travis Performing Arts Center.  Along with a playground, picnic shelter and the beautiful wooded setting the park is the home to “Pickin in the Park”. On the 3rd Friday night from June through September the Merle Travis Performing Arts Center puts on a free concert in the park at 7pm.  Everyone is welcome and check our calendar for upcoming performances.  Bluegrass, country, and all sorts of music is played and the grills are fired up for some good eats.  To check on upcoming concerts or to reserve the park’s pavilion call 270-377-0227.

The Park is also home to Merle Travis’s boy hood cabin that was moved across the county to Paradise Park for all to enjoy.  There is also a turn of the century school house, jail cell, and other artifacts from days gone by.  Questions regarding Paradise Park and their events should be directed to the Merle Travis Performing Arts Center at (270)-377-0227.
